N$600 Million Mobile Network Investment Expands Namibia’s Digital Infrastructure

Paratus Namibia launched its new nationwide mobile network on 3 September 2025, introducing LTE and 5G services following a further N$600 million investment in network infrastructure during the preceding year.
Paratus describes the network as Namibia’s first private nationwide mobile network and says the investment brings its cumulative infrastructure investment in Namibia since 2018 to approximately N$1.417 billion.
The new mobile network builds on a wider digital infrastructure platform that includes fibre connectivity, data-centre infrastructure, subsea cable access and satellite services.
The launch therefore represents substantial private capital being converted into operating national communications infrastructure.

Digital connectivity has become fundamental infrastructure for a modern economy.
Businesses increasingly depend on reliable high-speed communications for cloud services, payments, logistics, customer interaction, remote operations and the movement of information between domestic and international markets.
